If you're using it for RSVPs, that's tricky because it assumes that all guests have internet access, and people could think you're trying to get out of paying for a stamp on a response card. If you're using it to spread the word about where you're registered, that's also a no-no in the invitation.

What it boils down to is that it depends on what the content of your site is. I think people would be interested in your site, but you have to make sure it doesn't smack of gift-grubbing. So your fiancee probably has the best feel for it since she knows what's on the site.
References :
Thats tricky, have you thought about adding an extra card to your invites so that this information can be on it, instead of on the back side of the invitation. I probably would not directly add a website to my invitations. How about at the wedding showers, can the website be incorporated into the shower or even in the thank you notes from the shower? Just a thought.
References :
it's tacky........just send an email with the address of your site to people you think may want to see it.........tracking everything since you got engaged is probably way more interesting to you than any of your wedding guests.....
References :
Hmm.... we put our wedding website on the invite, in little letters. However, our wedding website contains only information relevant to the wedding and a few details about the people in our wedding party. (They come from different places, so we thought it would be nice for them to see each others names/faces.)

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it, but our wedding is super casual, so perhaps there is some very formal etiquette that I've never heard of.
