Casual Wedding Invitations?
September 29, 2009
Though are wedding is formal, we really REALLY don’t like most of the formal invitations. The style really just doesn’t suit our personality. We are trying to find some reasonably priced contemporary and informal-ish invites.
Do you know any good sites?
Here are some examples of ones that we like for this style so far:

the last one is perfect!

I really like the last invitation!
Have you thought of hiring someone to do custom ones for you??
Or if you are on a budget you can do them yourself!! Thats what my fiance and I are doing. It will only be 125 dollars for 200 invitations!

I liked the last one, blue swirls and hearts, from Peter the printer.. Very contemporary, very pretty, and it gives you room to use swirls and hearts to you hearts content at your wedding and reception.
The ones with people on them are fine, but where do they lead you with the rest of the decorating? I don’t think I would like stick people on my wedding cake. [if you couldn't tell, I'm a matchy matchy person]
Congrats on you wedding.

Personally i went to orientaltrading.com and got elegant looking invites that are do-it-yourself on a printer, which means they’re not too over the top.
Oriental Trading also has organza ribbons and such so if you want the do-it-yourself invites, you can dress them up as elegant as you want.

I like both the first one and the last one!
But which do you and your fi like the best?
I have used Dawn before. I was pleased with both the promptness of their service and the quality of the invitations.
You can check out casual wordings for your invitations at verseit.com.
